The 7,000 m² extension is divided into two main units. The first phase built a 1,600 m² logistics centre comprising two storage areas; the second delivered a 5,000 m² two-storey production hall with three production areas on each floor, logistics and welfare spaces, offices, meeting rooms, a 330 m² lecture theatre (SensiAcademy) and a panoramic rooftop café.

The project was designed by BORD Építész Stúdió, built by HUNÉP Zrt., with technical supervision by KEM-BER Kft. The speeches at the opening emphasised the exemplary strength of Swiss–Hungarian cooperation, strategic thinking and a people-centred corporate culture.

László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen said Sensirion's new plant is not merely an investment but a symbol of confidence in the future and of cooperation, reinforcing Debrecen's place in the international technology chain.
Jean-François Paroz, Ambassador of Switzerland to Hungary noted that the project exemplifies the successful combination of Swiss innovation and Hungarian commitment, and the deep partnership between the two countries.
Franziska Brem, Chief Operating Officer of Sensirion AG emphasised that the Debrecen plant has become a strategically significant hub, where investment goes not only into modern infrastructure but into people, corporate culture and sustainable growth.
István Herdon, CEO of the XANGA group said the development reflects Debrecen's objectives well: attracting technology companies that represent high added value — such as Sensirion, an industry of the future.
Patrick Good, Head of Maintenance at Sensirion AG said that six years of development had produced a fully sustainable manufacturing base, with modern energy solutions and flexible, digitalised infrastructure.
Sándor Szabó, Deputy CEO of SZINORG Universal Zrt. highlighted that Sensirion is an outstanding partner not only technologically but in its way of thinking — every challenge was resolved collaboratively, and the work together is expected to continue.
Dr Imre Török, Head of Infrastructure at Sensirion Hungary described the new plant as a model of sustainability, functionality and employee wellbeing, delivered without production stopping for a single minute — a triumph of engineering precision and teamwork.
