The change was announced at a press conference in Debrecen on 14 January 2026, where Gyula Szűcs and Sándor Szabó together set out the background to the transition and its purpose. Years of deliberate preparation have gone into ensuring that SZINORG Group can sustain its growth and adapt to the market while holding to its values, in a Debrecen and regional economy that continues to change.

Sándor Szabó, who has played an active part in the Group since 2022 as Deputy CEO and Member of the Board, set out four strategic pillars in his programme as incoming Chief Executive:
optimising how the holding structure operates,
maintaining a diversified real-estate portfolio (industrial halls, residential property, hotels),
strengthening sustainability and ESG considerations,
developing people and attracting talent.
SZINORG Group remains a leading force in the real-estate development and construction markets of Debrecen and North-East Hungary, putting value creation and quality first through its integrated, end-to-end structure.
Our objective is to build a real-estate development portfolio worth HUF 100 billion by 2030, contributing to the region's economic growth, liveability and competitiveness.
We wish Gyula Szűcs and Sándor Szabó every success in their new roles, and we look forward to writing the next chapters of the SZINORG Group story together with our colleagues and partners.
