A four-star hotel for Debrecen city centre

The project developed by Bajcsy Invest Kft., part of the Szinorg group, is aimed at building a new hotel offering quality service in the centre of Debrecen. Delivered with innovative, distinctive architectural solutions, the four-star hotel is aimed primarily at business and MICE tourism and secondarily at individual leisure travellers and tourist groups. Alongside the hotel's successful introduction to the Hungarian and international markets, its profitable operation and its positive effects on tourism, the investor also regards making use of the opportunities in regional resources and in partnership as important.

Across a net usable floor area of some 10,451 square metres, the hotel will have 155 rooms with 310 beds in total. Alongside creating the infrastructure for services that meet guests' needs and make their stay rewarding, it will create new jobs for approximately 55 people. Beyond increasing market share, the project's long-term objectives include raising the proportion of returning guests and establishing further partnerships, thereby making use of regional resources.

The project owner, Bajcsy Invest Kft., plans to deliver the four-star hotel using its own resources together with grant funding, and accordingly submitted an application in December 2019 to the call "Kisfaludy Accommodation Development Programme — the development of large-capacity existing hotels and the establishment of new hotels", announced by Kisfaludy2030 Turisztikai Fejlesztő Nonprofit Zrt. No decision has yet been made.

Construction is scheduled for completion in December 2021, so the hotel is due to welcome its first guests in January 2022.
