25th Hungarian Real Estate Development Award competition

The Hungarian Real Estate Association — FIABCI Hungary — first held the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award competition 26 years ago, with the aim of recognising the outstanding work of Hungarian developers, introducing completed developments to the profession and the wider public, and not least supporting participation in the international FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence competition.

The Hungarian competition's terms and timetable follow those of the international award. Entries were received in September this year, judged in October, and the results announced in November. Judging was carried out by a jury of Hungarian and invited international specialists, and the entries are also presented in a publication produced for the purpose. The winners are entitled to represent Hungary at the FIABCI WORLD PRIX D'EXCELLENCE international award competition, supported by the World Street Journal. Entrants could also receive special prizes from the professional organisations supporting the competition.

In the Hotel category of the 25th Hungarian Real Estate Development Award competition, Bajcsy Invest Kft., BORD Építészstúdió, HAJDU-ALU Zrt. and ACCOR HotelServices Magyarország Kft. submitted a joint entry for the MERCURE Debrecen development.

The building received the Special Prize of the Hungarian Real Estate Association, presented on 22 November 2023 at a gala in the new Museum of Ethnography to Zsuzsánna Gönczi, Managing Director of Bajcsy Invest Kft., and hotel director Gábor Demény.
